The general objective of the project: Contribute to achieving a civil, democratic Palestinian society through greater participation of women and youth in public activities and institutions
The specific objective of the project: to improve and increase the effective political participation of women and young men and women in 6 local councils in Ramallah and northwest Jerusalem
The project was implemented in: Qarawat Bani Zaid, Aroura, Mazra' al-Nubani, Yabroud, Al-Jib and Beit Anan.

Project activities and achievements:
1. Building the capacities of 120 young men and women in issues of lobbying, advocacy, national responsibility and community participation, by holding trainings with an average of 36 training hours with them, and the most prominent achievement was targeting new groups, especially males, that had not been targeted before.
2. Building the capacities of 20 women candidates and members of local councils in the targeted locations in terms of increasing interaction, participation and political action, by holding a training with them at a rate of 12 training hours.
3. Creating initiatives and small projects in the six sites that left a great impact on all the local community, especially since these initiatives were chosen and designed by the local community groups based on their knowledge of their reality and their needs, and these initiatives can be used and benefited by all groups of youth, women, men and children. In addition, these initiatives have been worked on to continue and sustain them even after the end of the project period.
4. Increasing the awareness of communities and local councils in the six locations of the necessity and need to involve young men and women and women in decision-making positions, by allocating budgets and projects to achieve this goal.
5. Carrying out media campaigns through various means, whether visual, radio, print, or via social media, to reach all segments of society and to put pressure on decision-makers to involve youth and women more in their decisions and in choosing projects that suit them more and put their needs among their priorities.
