Honey for Palestine

The overall goal of Honey for Palestine is to reduce economic and social vulnerability of women in 2 villages in the West Bank through community-based business opportunities. We also aim to increase the effectiveness of RWDS Economic Empowerment activities, specifically those of 4 existing cooperatives that produce under the brand Al Hakoura and through developing an economic unit in our main office that will support these co-ops with marketing, business advice and training. This 30-month project is working with 100 women, 50 each in Bayt Kahel, Hebron and Saida, Tulkaram.The project provides the land, agricultural inputs, equipment, skills training, and support needed for two additional women’s cooperatives that will produce honey, herbs and related products, including natural body care products, herbal oils, and more. This project is funded by the Drosos Foundation and builds upon on our previous partnership with the foundation.
