About us
We seek to promote the rights of rural women by creating an enabling and supportive environment for them in their local communities, and spreading their rich contributions to Palestinian society.
The Rural Women’s Development Society has a strong and significant presence of the rural community base, with a network of more than 3,000 members distributed over 56 women's clubs. The association is also characterized by a unique organizational structure with a wide and large popular base of dedicated volunteers.
The Rural Women’s Development Society seeks to promote the rights of rural women by creating an enabling and supportive environment for them in their local communities, and spreading their rich contributions to Palestinian society, in addition to designing innovative projects within three programs: economic empowerment, social and political participation, and combating violence against women.
In the aforementioned programs, the Association employs education, awareness, community participation, mobilization, skills development, lobbying and advocacy in order to create women leaders within the rural community.
